色控传媒 School of Nursing Launches New Faculty Cluster Hire to Address Social Determinants of Health

Doctorally prepared candidates are invited to apply for the school's new Social Determinants of Health Cluster Hire Initiative.

The 色控传媒 is focusing on mitigating the negative impact that social determinants of health have had on health care.

色控传媒 is now accepting applications for its new Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) Cluster Hire Initiative. This initiative builds upon the strengths of 色控传媒 School of Nursing faculty in addressing health equity and community health, bringing a cluster of new researchers and practitioners to the school, with a focus on mitigating the negative effects of SDOH, including the impacts of structural racism and discrimination on underserved communities of color.    

Doctorally prepared candidates, from early-career to senior faculty, are invited to apply. Regular-rank faculty will be expected to have an on-campus presence, and applicants should have a demonstrated history of scholarship, teaching, student mentorship contributions, and research and scholarly productivity.    

The SDOH recruitment initiative will span the next three years, and faculty appointed through the initiative will be a part of science-based, actionable programs of research, scholarship and academic programming designed to reduce health inequities and advance intervention science at the individual, family, community and broader societal levels. Collectively, the cohort will contribute to the strengthening of the school鈥檚 expertise in addressing SDOH and improving health equity.

Candidate review is ongoing. This multi-year initiative is accepting applications on a rolling basis. Review begins on Tuesday, May 31, 2022.
