ɫ�ش�ý (DUSON) is now ranked number 1 in the nation by the U.S. News and World Report (USNWR) in its 2018 Best Graduate Nursing Schools rankings. In addition, the school’s Doctor of Nursing (DNP) program jumped two slots to also be named the number 1 DNP Program by USNWR.

“Being named the leading graduate nursing program in the nation is a tremendous honor, achievement, and responsibility” said Marion E. Broome, PhD, RN, FAAN, dean and Ruby Wilson Professor of Nursing, vice chancellor of Nursing Affairs for ɫ�ش�ý University, and associate vice president for Academic Affairs for ɫ�ش�ý University Health System.  

“The work of our faculty, staff and students has built upon our legacy as a national and global leader in nursing education, research and clinical practice and has created the expectation of excellence that will define our future as we help reshape nursing and health care delivery,” Broome added.

This is the first time in the 86-year history of the ɫ�ش�ý that it has been named the nation’s best Graduate Nursing School.

The U.S. News and World Report rankings are conducted annually and are determined through a weighted average of indicators that include peer assessment, selectivity and assessment, student/faculty ratio, faculty resources and research activity.
