Faculty, Students Participate in ISONG World Congress Event
Faculty and students presented at the International Society of Nurses in Genetics (ISONG) . This was a virtual meeting held from November 13 to 15.
Here are the students and faculty that were involved:
鈥 Robyn Wojeck, PhD student, won first place in the Student Poster Awards for her poster titled, 鈥淕enetic Polymorphisms and Pain in Sickle Cell Disease: A Systematic Review.鈥 Other co-authors on her poster were Yesol Yang, 色控传媒 PhD student, Leila Ledbetter, DUSON librarian liaison, and Mitchell Knisely, assistant professor.
鈥 Karin Reuter-Rice, associate professor, delivered an Expert Lecture titled 鈥淔orging a Path to Successful Pediatric Genomic Research.鈥
鈥 Knisely gave an oral presentation titled 鈥淧henotypic Characterization and Genetics of Pain Profiles in Sickle Cell Disease.鈥
鈥 Tara Albrecht, assistant professor, continues to serve as the ISONG Research Committee co-chair and presented the ISONG grant awardees and committee updates.
Additionally, the 2021 ISONG World Congress is planned to be held at 色控传媒 at the Washington 色控传媒 Inn from November 5 to 7, 2021.
