U.S. News & World Report (USNWR) released its 2017 rankings of the best online graduate nursing programs, and ɫ�ش�ý (DUSON) is recognized as the third best program in the United States as well as the third best program for veterans.

“We are fully committed to preparing nursing graduates who will lead the transformation of health care for the future,” said Marion E. Broome, PhD, RN, FAAN, dean and Ruby Wilson Professor of Nursing, vice chancellor for Nursing Affairs for ɫ�ش�ý University and associate vice president for Academic Affairs for Nursing for ɫ�ش�ý University Health System. “We do this by providing a world-class education to students regardless of whether they attend class in a lecture hall, clinical lab or at a computer.”

Broome adds: “This jump to third in USNWR’s rankings of the best online graduate nursing programs is a testament to the quality of our faculty, the staff who work with them and the dedication of our outstanding students.”

USNWR ranks schools using five categories – faculty credentials and training, student engagement, admissions selectivity, peer reputation and student services and technology.

DUSON launched distance learning courses in 1992 and has continually embraced the use and development of online and distance-based learning. The entire Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree program offers either a distance-based or online option for students, with on-campus intensives scheduled several times a year. The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree program offers a distance-based option for nurses pursuing an advanced practice degree, as well as intensive sessions on-campus several times a year. The DNP program is designed for full-time working nurses based anywhere in the world.
